India International Pet Trade is pleased to announce the first edition of Indian Pet Industry – Dialogue 2019 (conference).

We are aware of the pace at which the industry is growing in India. Being the fastest growing market in the world we felt there is a need for a forum for serious deliberation on the state of the industry, its future growth path, global prospective, as well as sharing and learning from peers.

We will try to address some of the challenges being faced by the industry.. This initiative will serve as a forum wherein foreign companies to learn about the Indian Pet Industry first hand.

This conference is a platform for deliberation, interaction and networking for industry professionals in a conducive environment. It is to discuss the present scenario and chart future plan.

2. Is it helpful to pet shops?
Yes it is. We have special sessions for pet shop owners and other pet retailers how to improve ROI from shops and digital awareness for better visibility.
3. Is there any hotel near by?
Yes. We have tied up with star and budget hotels in about 10 km radius at special price. We will give you may book it directly.
4. Is there is a fee to attend the conference?

Yes. It is Rs 2100 per person.

Served with reputed Indian and multinational companies functioning in India as well as with Institutional organizations such as Asian Development Bank and World Bank was also the Indian Representative for a British Government Aid and Development Programme in the mid-1990s

Commenced own Business in 1996 by establishing the print media house L B Associates Private Limited; She launched Creature Companion magazine, the first pet care magazine in India and subsequently curated the India International Pet Trade Fair (IIPTF). She had been a speaker at the International Pet Conference, Berlin.

CEO and owner of company Petfood Specialities d.o.o., Slovenia. 

Author of many petfood products implemented on the market. Mentor and influencer for R&D and Marketing Departments of European petfood producers. Expert for petfood category management and product positioning.

 

Dr. Ayyappan
PHD

Dr. Ayyappan is a Ph.D. in Veterinary surgery and is presently the Resident Veterinary officer and Head and Professor of Small animal Orthopaedic surgery from Madras Veterinary College, Chennai.

Dr. Ayyappan has about 29 years of educational, teaching and clinical experience in small animal surgery. He has been primarily responsible for the development of the small animal orthopedic unit at the Madras

Veterinary college teaching hospital.He introduced and established numerous surgical techniques for the management of fractures and joint diseases. Dr. Ayyappan completed an orthopedic fellowship at the Small animal hospital in Switzerland and later went on to complete orthopedic surgery at AO institute.


Mr.Varindra Sewak

Currently a Profit Center Head, Varindra Sewak has 38 years of experience in the FMCG space with 26 years and counting in Nestle’.

He retired from Purina PetCare India Pvt. Ltd. at the end of Oct 2018 as Managing Director and as board Chairman from (PPI) Responsible for South Asia business of Pet Food reporting to Regional Business Head of NPP AOA based in Singapore.

Purina PetCare India was set up from scratch by him. And was successful in launching 2 brands in India – Supercoat, & Pro Plan.

Dr. Kunal Dev Sharma

Kunal Deo Sharma completed his BVSc& AH from Haryana Agriculture University, Hissar. His love for horses led him to train in equines at the Hyderabad Turf club, after which, he worked in South East Asia for a few
years at a multispeciality mixed animal practice.Following this he diversified, going on to pursue ophthalmology as a specialty from Australia. He is also one of the few Indian veterinarians to have earned a prestigious membership to the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, UK.Kunal returned to India in 2011 after working in England for a couple of years. The interest in orthopedics was inculcated in the year 2009 when he worked In an orthopedic referral hospital in the UK, and since then he has trained intensively in spinal surgeries and trauma surgeries. Today he is an active member and trainer of international veterinary orthopedics community (member of AOvet and European society of veterinary thopedics and Traumatology).

Mr.Mohit Arora

With an experience of 12 years+ in the FMCG space and more than 10 years in core brand marketing, Mr. Mohit Arora has worked across iconic brands from Complan & Britannia Nutri-Choice to Pedigree & Whiskas.

He is currently heading Marketing for Mars Pet Nutrition India and leads a stream on digital media acceleration for the APAC business of Mars Pet Nutrition as well.
His real passion is about making brands grow, with a staunch belief in rigorous planning and execution.
He has traveled and lived in a number of states in India and thus has an innate love for healthy debates, books, music, beer, street food, and mutton biryani.

He is passionate about the pet category and has been with Mars for 6 years, the company that has a core vision of making a better world for pets. He is actively involved in educating pet parents as to how pets can have happy, healthy homes.

Dr. Milind Hatekar

Dr. Milind Hatekar age 50 years, has 26 years of clinical experience in Small animal orthopedics and soft tissue surgery.

Graduated in 1990 and post graduated in 1993, Did orthopedic training in Germany in 2005 and worked in several hospitals in Germany in Freibough, Stuttgart, and Kelh. Did three Externship programs in North Carolina state teach veterinary hospital and One at  Ryan medical center in Philadelphia USA?

Worked at Gulf coast orthopedic Specialty hospital Houston USA. Member of ESVOT European Society of Veterinary Orthopaedics and Traumatology. Member of AO vet Switzerland. Founder member of Veterinary Orthopedic foundation.

 

Dr.Pawan Kumar

Dr.Pawan Kumar has a Master’s in Veterinary Sciences with a specialization in Orthopedics and is a man with a vision. A vision that has made a huge impact on Veterinary Healthcare Services in our country. This vision came to life in the form of Cessna Lifeline Veterinary Healthcare in 2005, a range of veterinary healthcare services for pets. Starting from a single room in Bangalore, today it has multiple branches, each branch adhering to the high standards of care he expects.

Dr.Pawan recognized that diagnostics and training were the keys to his vision and Cessna focuses on both. Doctors are required to undergo rigorously and continued training as are the veterinary nurses, a role introduced by him.

Constant innovation and collaboration are the cornerstones of Cessna and he does this through collaborations with human doctors and professionals abroad.

He dreams of changing the face of veterinary medicine in India.


Mr.Ashish Anthony
Founder and Brand Owner(Just Dogs)

He runs Just Dogs a pet specialty retail.
Ashish has worked for a high paced, customer service oriented professional organizations Unilever, Shell, ICICI Bank and Barclays Bank for over seventeen years.

He has earned the respect of his colleagues through hard work and dedication he is certified to run a K9 company and K9 Specialist from Police Dog Centre Holland Just dogs is also affiliated to PDCH and represents their interests to the government and other agencies for Military Working Dogs (MWD)

Mr.Punit Modhgil

is currently on a sabbatical researching and building new ideas for his next venture. He is deeply passionate about opportunities in education (employability), food (consumer choices) and wellness sector (lifestyle) in the New India.
Punit Modhgil was the Executive Director & Co-founder of Octane.in (India’s leading email marketing campaigns platform which got acquired by ValueFirst in 2017) and also the founding editor of India Marketing Review, a video blog featuring conversations with the India CMO community.

Punit has two decades of experience spanning mature markets and emerging ones. He has been an entrepreneur 3 times over (2 success and 1 learning experience) and also has held a number of senior positions in product management, sales, and marketing with some of the world’s leading technology brands like Microsoft Corporation, Oracle Corporation, Siebel Systems, NIIT, etc. At Microsoft, he led marketing for India’s largest software license business with annual revenues exceeding USD 600 million. He has led marketing outsourcing projects on both sides of the table.
Before his role at Microsoft, he had incubated a marketing outsourcing business called Pro-more, built on a global delivery model serving the large UK clients with client servicing function in London (UK), design in Santa Cruz (California) and delivery/program management in Bengaluru (Karnataka). At Talisma, he led the worldwide marketing efforts for this leading CRM company while based out of Bengaluru serving markets like the US, UK, and mainland Europe.
Punit has served on the advisory board of the first Parliamentary Committee in India on National Information Infrastructure (1996) which led to the creation of Ministry of IT. He has been profiled in The Economic Times’ Global Indian and is often invited to industry conferences to share his expertise in the areas of technology, marketing, startups, and inclusion. Punit was awarded the prestigious DMAi Knight recognition in 2015 for his contribution to the marketing fraternity in the region. In 2017, he was recognized as one of the Top 25 Ecommerce Professionals in India by the Asia Retail Congress.

Punit is a fellow lifetime member of the IoD (Institute of Directors). He has also served as a trustee on the board of SETU Foundation (mysetu.org, an NCR based NGO focused on skills development & child education).
Punit has a graduate degree in science, majoring in Physics, from Ranchi University in India and has attended extensive management development programs during his career. An avid snowboarder and a published photographer, he now lives in Gurugram.
